Nature of the Site

This private resource is not part of Kootenai County, the State of Idaho, KCSO, IDOC, BOP, or ICE. It stores no official records and cannot confirm custody, release a person, or submit government documents for a visitor.

Its pages identify inmate and jail record sources and may connect visitors with outside research tools. Official requests remain between the requester and the government custodian.

Acceptable Use Rules

• Do not use the site while violating any law.
• Do not use information to stalk, harass, threaten, or harm another person.
• Do not base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on site content.
• Do not attempt access to systems or data without authorization.
• Do not deploy bots, scrapers, or other automated extraction tools.
• Do not interfere with the site or another visitor’s access.

No Consumer Reports

Kootenai County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It supplies no background check, credit report, or consumer report, and neither it nor its advertising partners provides screening services. You agree not to use any information for:

• Hiring, firing, or another employment decision.
• Tenant selection or housing screening.
• Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing.
• Licensing, permits, or government-benefit eligibility.
• Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA.

Outside Resources

Links may lead to release records, sheriff and corrections sites, government portals, legal-aid resources, or commercial search services. A link is not an endorsement. We do not control the destination’s content, privacy practices, data handling, terms, prices, or availability, and visitors should review those policies directly.

No Warranties

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranty concerning:

• Accuracy, completeness, or currentness.
• Continuous or uninterrupted availability.
• Freedom from errors, defects, or security weaknesses.
• The scope or quality of partner search results.

Custody status and public records can change quickly. Nothing on the site is an official statement from KCSO, IDOC, a court, or another government office. Idaho agencies administer official public-record access under laws including Idaho Code § 74-102.

Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site, its owners, and contributors are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages arising from access to, use of, or reliance on the site or an outside service.

Your Indemnity Duty

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the site and its owners harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use, misuse, or violation of these terms.

Ownership of Content

Unless identified otherwise, text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Kootenai County Released Inmates or its content partners. You may not copy, distribute, publish, or modify them without prior written permission.

Revisions to Terms

We may revise these terms at any time. Updated terms take effect when posted on this page, and continued use after posting signifies acceptance.

Access May End

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

Idaho Governing Law

Idaho law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in Idaho.

Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. The affected provision will be limited or adjusted only as much as necessary to make it enforceable.
