Search Entries
A name, place, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. This site does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy terms govern its handling of the query.
Messages
If you send an email or contact-form message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. We do not share the message outside the organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Automatic Technical Information
Normal server, analytics, and advertising operations may collect technical information when a page loads, including:

Links may lead to Kootenai County release-record offices, Sheriff and corrections pages, government portals, and outside search services. Once you leave, the destination’s privacy notice controls its collection and use of data. Idaho public agencies separately administer records under laws including Idaho Code § 74-102; this private-site notice does not govern those agencies.
Some advertising partners may use their own systems to follow activity across websites for interest-based advertising. Their tracking does not become a record stored directly by this site.

We do not sell personal information. Data may nevertheless be handled by:
- Search partners that process a submitted query.
- Analytics providers measuring use and performance.
- Advertising networks delivering or measuring ads.
- Law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order.
Security Has Limits
We use ordinary safeguards suited to the site and its services. No Internet-connected system can be promised secure against every loss, misuse, interception, or breach, so we cannot offer a breach-proof guarantee.

This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted information, use the Contacts page to request its deletion.
Your Information Choices
Subject to applicable law and our ability to verify the request, you may:
- Ask for a copy of personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of information we maintain.
- Object to or opt out of certain processing where that right applies.
